Richmond Winter Festival

On February 8th and 9th the Information Booth of Abreast in a Boat was set up at the Richmond Winter Festival. The scene around Richmond City Hall and Brighouse Park was cool, dark and sparkly with thousands of ice blue and white lights.

There was lots of music, laughter and good smells from the food kiosks! The Info Booth was positioned right beside the tent for the UBC Boathouse – very appropriate since that is the venue for our newest crew.

Thanks to Sheila Blair and Bunny Rosse, AIAB had a strong presence at this event. It was so important to have our name, logo and message available in Richmond – we even made it into the Event Program! Sheila and Bunny, along with several volunteers did a super job greeting people that strolled by the Booth. They handed out lots of information on breast health, nutrition and of course, AIAB. Well done, everyone!
