On June 8, 2008, Abreast in Richmond hosted their Open House. AIAB members that attended were very impressed with our newest practice venue. The John M.S. Lecky UBC Boathouse was built and opened in 2006. Margaret Hobson and Heather Trenholm were instrumental in getting Abreast in Richmond started at the Boathouse.

We were treated to yummy savouries, appetizers and desserts along with tea, coffee and fruit punch. From the delightful invitation to the warm welcome, generous hospitality and speeches from special guests Mayor Malcolm Brodie (left) and MLA John Yap (right). It was a wonderful two hours.
