The Wind Up Party for the 2008 Paddling Season was in the pink! Attendance was the best yet and the food was great – as usual – we sure know how to put on a spread! Once again, Alice Pennington and Committee were so organized we could all relax and have fun. It was a lowkey affair this time and enjoyed by all.

It was great to see the "no longer novices" and many seasoned paddlers there. We were joined by Sponsors from The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation: Myrna Holman and Haifa Staiti and also by Canderlla Yip, Joseph Fung and William Fong from MJ Fashions. The slide show put together by Sherrill MacKay was impressive and fun to watch.

The Pink Party Cookie Boats were later discovered racing neck-in-neck in the "Cookie-Man Regatta".
This was considered odd because 2 of the boats were going in the wrong direction (see above).
Unfortunately, this proved to be moot since there was no winner as all the paddlers were eaten.
