Bonza Party!

Crikey, that was a rip snorter of a party the other evo. About 200 blokes and sheilas had a dinky-di time celebrating the end of the paddling season and gave a beaut send off to the paddlers going Down Under.

Everyone rocked up around 6:00 and we raged on to 9:00 pm. The room was pretty spiffy with banners, balloons, posters etc. There was wine tasting, bonza tucker, speeches from VIPs and sponsors, heaps of door prizes, a contest and a skit.

We were able to yabber with mates we haven't seen in yonks, and we introduced our cobbers and rellies to all our teammates.

Reckon everyone was pretty chuffed about meeting our grouse newest member, Jeannie Lea. Too right! Jeannie Lea is a ridgey-didge dragon who is going to go walkabout through the streets of Caloundra with the AIAB paddlers.

A lot of people were gobsmacked when they took a squizz at the ripper "fashion show" demonstrating the appropriate clobber to wear in Oz - I think those models were from back o'Bourke!

Fair dinkum, it was a great way to end the season.
